Walt Disney World has implemented updates to the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction at EPCOT.

To address a viral social media trend where guests shouted inappropriate or humorous responses during a pause in the pre-show, Walt Disney Imagineering modified the sequence. The character Tal Marik, played by Terry Crews, now follows a specific line with a scripted glitch, saying, “Someone needs to tell me when I’m on,” to prevent audience interruptions.

Additionally, the attraction will feature a seasonal holiday overlay from November 25 through January 12, 2027. During this period, the standard classic rock playlist will be replaced by one of three seasonal tracks: ‘It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year’ by Andy Williams, ‘Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24’ by Trans-Siberian Orchestra, or ‘Christmas Wrapping’ by The Waitresses.
