Cinephobia Releasing has acquired the North American and UK distribution rights for Brute 1986, a horror sequel directed by Marcel Walz and written by Joe Knetter. Following the 1970s aesthetic of its predecessor, Brute 1976, this sequel adopts a 1980s slasher style with heavy metal influences and practical gore.

The plot follows the glam metal band Leather Kobra during a music video shoot in a deserted town, where they encounter the violent Birdy family. The cast includes Bill Kaulitz, Dazelle Yvette, Sarah French, Gigi Gustin, and Lew Temple. Original music is contributed by Bill Kaulitz and CRAZY LIXX.

The film is scheduled for its world premiere at Tubi FrightFest Halloween on October 31, 2026.
