The Alytus Jurgio Kunčinas Public Library has hosted various documentary film events. In October, the library participated in the 20th annual ‘Uncomfortable Cinema’ festival, which featured free screenings of global documentaries focused on human rights, politics, and sustainability. The festival included both individual viewings and collective sessions with live discussions.

Following this, the library scheduled a screening for November 4 as part of the ‘Sengirės kinas’ project. This initiative, which connects cinema with environmental education, will present the Austrian documentary ‘(Ne)pusiausvyros elementai’ (Elements of(f) Balance). The film explores global ecological restoration efforts and nature’s ability to regenerate.
