Businessman Alysson Campelo Catuhyte Wanderlei was released from detention in João Pessoa, Paraíba, following a custody hearing regarding domestic violence allegations. Although he had been detained since August 14, a judge granted him freedom subject to precautionary measures, including daily house arrest and an electronic ankle monitor. 

The ruling also prohibited Wanderlei from contacting or approaching the victim. However, lawyers for the victim indicated plans to appeal, stating the suspect poses a “concrete and imminent risk” due to his alleged failure to respect previous legal restrictions.
