The Dominican Republic government has implemented various social and infrastructure initiatives. In mid-October, the administration delivered 50 garbage compactor trucks to 18 provinces and municipalities to improve local waste collection and community hygiene.

By late October, the Social Policy Cabinet expanded its outreach by delivering a fully furnished home to a family in the La Ureña sector of Santo Domingo Este, part of an initiative to provide secure housing for families living in extreme poverty.
