The Dirección General de Bellas Artes (DGBA) in the Dominican Republic has hosted a series of cultural events in September 2026.

Following the conclusion of the Semana de Bellas Artes 2026, which ran from September 14 to 18 at the Teatro Nacional Eduardo Brito, the DGBA transitioned into preparations for the International Contemporary Dance Festival (EDANCO 2026). The Semana de Bellas Artes featured free programming, including lectures and artistic demonstrations, and was dedicated to cultural manager Natacha Sánchez.

EDANCO 2026, scheduled from September 22 to October 4, involves international companies from countries including Canada, Mexico, Spain, and France. Dominican institutions such as the Ballet Nacional Dominicano and the Escuela Nacional de Danza (ENDANZA) are set to perform various works across multiple venues in the capital.
