Infrastructure maintenance and improvements are underway in Dong Nai province to address road degradation and traffic congestion.

In mid-September, authorities began repairs on the 40 km DT. 759B road, which connects National Highway 13 to the Hoang Dieu National Border Gate. The project aims to fix potholes, cracks, and surface peeling to ensure safety for commuters and freight transport.

By late September, work progressed on National Highway 1 near the eastern gateway to Ho Chi Minh City, where the Dong Nai Bridge BOT toll station was dismantled. Although the station had ceased fee collection in August 2020, its presence remained a “significant traffic hazard and a bottleneck.” While the main structures have been removed and the surface partially restored, final asphalt paving has been delayed by heavy seasonal rainfall, with completion expected by October 15.
