The Doosan Bears have faced ongoing performance challenges in the KBO League, primarily involving offensive inactivity and pitching instability.

Initially, manager Kim Won-hyung addressed concerns regarding the lineup’s inability to provide run support and the need for improved concentration among players. To combat a batting slump, the team implemented special training for younger players and prepared for the return of pitcher Wes Benjamin following a shoulder injury. Kim also expressed continued support for pitcher Choi Seung-yong despite recent struggles.

More recently, the team’s pitching issues have intensified. Following a heavy 3-15 loss to the KT Wiz, where relief pitchers struggled with decision-making, the Bears also fought to an 11-inning 6-6 draw against the Kiwoom Heroes. In that matchup, a bullpen collapse in the 8th inning allowed a three-run home run, complicating the team’s efforts to secure a top-five standing.
