Larry the Cat, the 19-year-old chief mouser at 10 Downing Street, has returned to his residence following surgery to remove a subcutaneous cyst.

Initial reports indicated the procedure was a successful minor surgery. Subsequent details clarified that the operation was an emergency procedure. Upon his return, the cat displayed a visible scar and a shaved patch of fur. While recovering, he was involved in a minor confrontation with a guide dog, though no injuries occurred.

Larry has served at the seat of the UK government since 2011, spanning the terms of seven prime ministers. He is currently approaching a longevity record for his role, previously held by Peter III.
