The Democratic Republic of the Congo is managing various international football commitments for both its men’s and women’s national teams. Following the men’s team, the Leopards, securing victories in Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matches against Equatorial Guinea and Zimbabwe, the team prepared for friendly matches against Uganda in South Africa.

On the institutional side, FECOFA President Véron Mosengo Omba met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino to discuss a four-year restructuring plan aimed at improving refereeing, developing women’s football, and establishing a technical center in Kinshasa.

Simultaneously, the DR Congo women’s national team prepared for Olympic qualifying matches against Côte d’Ivoire. However, the squad faced challenges due to the absence of three players—Olivia Mbala, Merveille Kanjinga, and Grace Kazadi—ahead of the scheduled matches in Lubumbashi and Abidjan.
