UFC fighter Dricus Du Plessis has discussed both potential future matchups and long-term career ambitions. Following Roberto Soldic’s successful UFC debut, Du Plessis expressed interest in a trilogy fight against Soldic, noting that the rivalry previously saw each fighter secure a stoppage victory in the KSW promotion. However, Du Plessis indicated that Soldic would first need to establish himself in the UFC and likely move from welterweight to middleweight.

Separately, Du Plessis has voiced ambitions to become a two-division champion. After a victory over Kamaru Usman, he described the process of cutting approximately 45 pounds to meet middleweight limits as “ridiculous” and “crazy.” While his immediate focus remains on the middleweight title, he stated his intention to eventually move to the light heavyweight division, asserting, “I’m big enough for that division, and I’m certain I can be champion in that division as well.”
