Educational and training initiatives for drone technology are expanding across various sectors in Japan.

In agricultural and professional sectors, programs are focusing on smart agriculture and national certification. At Ono Agricultural High School, a collaboration between local government and Digital Information Technology (DIT) provided students with hands-on experience in automated flight and manual operation. Additionally, in Kumamoto Prefecture, the drone school Mugen no Sora is offering free trials to support individuals seeking professional certifications for industries such as surveying and infrastructure inspection.

Community-based engagement and career-oriented partnerships are also increasing. In Kobe, the Monokoto Lab. Club, a certified club under the ‘Kobekatsu’ initiative, is hosting free workshops at Aeon Mall Kobe Minami. These sessions, led by active engineers, cover drone sports, manufacturing, and programming for participants ranging from elementary students to adults.

Furthering professional development, the Akihabara Drone School, operated by Tanaka Electric Co., Ltd., has partnered with KONAMI eSports Academy. This collaboration aims to introduce students to drone technology and industry career paths through special lectures on social drone utilization, regulations, and hands-on flight experiences. The two organizations have previously interacted through the Transport Digital Business Council (TDBC) and the ‘e-Construction Challenge’.
