Authorities in Vietnam arrested Phan Văn Phóng, a fugitive who had fled to Ho Chi Minh City to avoid a 30-month prison sentence for ‘concealing property obtained through crime’. 

During the arrest on August 13, police discovered approximately 1.3kg of methamphetamine, over 200 ecstasy pills, and four packets of a liquid drug known as ‘nước vui’ inside Phóng’s vehicle. The suspect and the seized narcotics were transferred to the Ho Chi Minh City Police for investigation.
