Danko Flores Cid, son of Chilean comedian Mauricio Flores, was arrested in the Tarapacá Region after being caught with approximately 18 kilograms of drugs. The seizure occurred on October 27 at the Quillagua customs control point when officials used scanner technology to find narcotics hidden within a vehicle dashboard. The drugs were reportedly destined for Santiago.

Following the arrest, the Tamarugal Local Prosecutor's Office formalized charges for illicit drug trafficking. A judge in Pozo Almonte granted a request for preventive detention, citing the risk of flight and danger to society. A 120-day investigation period has been established, during which authorities intend to analyze the suspect's mobile phone to identify potential accomplices and transport logistics.
