Police in the Brazilian states of São Paulo and Santa Catarina have conducted separate operations resulting in the arrest of individuals wanted for drug trafficking.

In Mongaguá, Military Police apprehended a fugitive during a preventive patrol in the Balneário Flórida Mirim neighborhood. The individual, who had failed to return to prison following a temporary release program in September 2023, was taken into custody after attempting to evade officers.

In Camboriú, the 12th Military Police Battalion arrested a suspect in the Monte Alegre neighborhood. During the encounter, the individual attempted to discard drug packages. A subsequent search of the suspect’s residence led to the seizure of approximately 314 grams of cocaine, 57 grams of marijuana, six precision scales, and R$ 569 in cash.
