On August 17, the Telangana Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) and Pet Basheerabad police arrested five individuals. Authorities seized 6 kg of ganja, valued at approximately Rs 3 lakh, which had been hidden inside an auto-rickshaw speaker box during a trip from Hyderabad to Nagpur.

On August 24, Hyderabad police intercepted a larger operation near Nampally Railway Station, seizing 48 kg of dry ganja valued at approximately Rs. 24.50 lakh. This seizure involved contraband concealed in airbags and briefcases. While a minor acting as a delivery person was arrested, several suspects—including individuals from Delhi, Bihar, and Visakhapatnam—remain at large.
