Juan Manuel Rossi, a provincial deputy for Entre Ríos, has denied allegations of drug use following the viral circulation of a video clip from a legislative session. Rossi claimed the footage was a manipulated “political operation” or “dirty campaign” intended to damage his reputation and the provincial government. He explained that the object seen in the video was a pen or pen cap.

To refute the accusations, Rossi underwent voluntary toxicological screenings at a private laboratory. The results were negative for a wide range of substances, including cocaine, marijuana, amphetamines, ecstasy, morphine, and opiates. 

In the wake of the controversy, representatives from the Movimiento Nacional Reformista (MNR) at the Universidad Nacional de Entre Ríos expressed embarrassment, stating they distance themselves from Rossi personally and politically.
