Serbian striker Dušan Vlahović has established a significant scoring run in the Turkish Süper Lig following his move to Beşiktaş. Initially, Vlahović approached a historic milestone by scoring in each of his first three starts, potentially becoming the first player for the club in the 21st century to score in his first four starts.

His performance progressed to six goals in five league matches, averaging one goal every 62 minutes. During this period, a controversy arose regarding a disallowed goal during a derby match against Fenerbahçe. The Turkish Football Federation, citing an analysis by referee director Anthony Taylor, confirmed that the decision to disallow a Vlahović goal was a mistake, noting that the player did not commit a foul on Ngolo Kanté.
