Authorities in Dubai have issued multiple warnings regarding various fraudulent schemes targeting residents and expatriates through social media.

Initially, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs reported scams involving fake work and freelance visas. These operations often involve criminal networks targeting job seekers in their home countries. In one instance, an individual was apprehended for using platforms like YouTube and TikTok to promote fraudulent visas over a two-year period.

Subsequently, Dubai Police issued a warning regarding scammers using cloned accounts and websites to sell fake Global Village VIP packages.
