Developments: 2. Ducati has officially unveiled the Monster Dark, a new, minimalist variant of its naked motorcycle line. Inspired by the classic aesthetic of the original 1993 Monster, the model features a total black design aesthetic, including black wheels, a single-material seat, and unpainted components such as the front frame, exhaust end caps, and air intake snorkel. Mechanically, the motorcycle is powered by an 890cc V2 engine equipped with intake variable valve timing. The engine produces 111 hp at 9,000 rpm and 91 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm, with over 80 percent of the maximum torque available between 4,000 and 10,000 rpm. A version limited to 47 hp is also available to comply with A2 license requirements. The design incorporates an aluminum monocoque frame and a hybrid rear subframe, which has reduced the weight by 4 kg compared to the previous generation, resulting in a total weight of 175 kg. Standard equipment includes Showa 43 mm upside-down front forks and Brembo brakes. Electronic features include a six-axis inertial measurement unit that supports cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and engine brake control, all manageable via a 5-inch TFT display. ## Timeline ### 2026-11-01: Ducati introduces Monster Dark naked bike Ducati has launched the Monster Dark, an all-black, minimalist version of its naked bike featuring an 890cc V2 engine and advanced electronics. 11 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/ducati-introduces-monster-dark-motorcycle-variant ### 2026-10-29: Ducati unveils Monster Dark motorcycle with all-black design Ducati has launched the Monster Dark, an all-black, minimalist version of its naked bike featuring an 890cc V2 engine and advanced electronics. 24 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/ducati-unveils-the-2027-monster-dark-motorcycle --- Cite as: Ducati Monster Dark motorcycle launch.
