The 63rd edition of the Duleep Trophy is scheduled to begin on August 23, 2026, marking the start of India’s 2026-27 red-ball domestic cricket season. The tournament features six teams: Central Zone, North Zone, West Zone, South Zone, East Zone, and North East Zone.

To accommodate spectators, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) relocated the final from the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru to the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. While earlier stages such as the quarterfinals and semifinals will proceed at the Bengaluru campus without public attendance, the five-day final is set for September 6 to 10 in Chennai.
