The Dungeon Crawler Carl literary franchise is expanding through new media and upcoming plot developments. In September 2026, author Matt Dinniman and collectibles grading company CGC announced a collaboration for a limited-edition ‘Dungeon Crawler Carl #0’ variant comic book to be released at New York Comic Con.

Following the convention in October, Dinniman provided further details regarding the ninth book in the series. During a panel, it was revealed that the upcoming installment will introduce a new character named Tabiti, a human child with the class of ‘subjugator’, who will be accompanied by a character named Ferdinand.
