In Sint Jansklooster, approximately 2,500 volunteers are working on twelve floats featuring millions of dahlias. While wet weather caused brief delays in harvesting, volunteers have begun collecting tens of thousands of flowers. To achieve specific design requirements, such as blue colors not found naturally in the species, workers use a specialized process involving concrete mixers and color powder to dye the blooms in makeshift laboratories.
