The Dutch Eredivisie landscape has seen various developments involving major clubs. Early reports noted FC Twente players traveling for leisure during an international break, while PSV Eindhoven prepared for a dense schedule of Eredivisie and Champions League fixtures.

Following the break, FC Twente secured a 2-0 away victory against AZ Alkmaar at the AFAS Stadion. After a scoreless majority of the match, Sondre Ørjasæter scored in the 84th minute following an assist from Younes Taha. Lucas Vennegoor of Hesselink secured the win in stoppage time, marking his first Eredivisie goal, after AZ Alkmaar was reduced to ten men following a second yellow card for Daouda Weidmann.
