Municipal councils in the Netherlands have moved to recommend new mayors for the Ameland and Dantumadiel regions.

In Ameland, the council recommended Stefan van Keijzerswaard, a 46-year-old alderman from Vlieland, to succeed acting mayor Tytsy Willemsma.
