Various Dutch museums have launched new exhibitions focused on regional history and heritage.

In Beneden-Leeuwen, Museum Tweestromenland opened ‘Sporen van steenfabrieken’ (Traces of Brick Factories), which uses art to explore the 150-year history of the brick industry in the Maas and Waal river region. Simultaneously, Museum Oud Alkemade in Oude Wetering opened ‘Kom je spelen?’ (Will you come play?), an exhibition featuring historical toys and school life items to serve as an educational tool.

In Oosterhout, the Heemkundekring De Heerlijkheid Oosterhout is hosting an exhibition at Theater de Bussel regarding the history of the steam tram. The display uses photographs and illustrations to recount the history of the steam tram link between Breda and Oosterhout, which began in 1880.
