Following severe fan violence during an April 4 match against Hertha BSC, Dynamo Dresden is facing disciplinary action from the German Football Association (DFB). The incident involved pyrotechnics, pitch incursions, and at least 17 injuries.

The DFB Federal Court upheld penalties including a €91,200 fine and a partial spectator ban for upcoming home matches, specifically requiring the closure of sections K1–K5 in the Rudolf-Harbig-Stadion. DFB federal court chair Oskar Riedmeyer characterized the use of fireworks at spectators as “unacceptable.”

In response, Dynamo Dresden has filed an appeal with the DFB Permanent Arbitration Court. The club is seeking a stay of execution to prevent the spectator ban from taking effect while the arbitration process is ongoing.
