EA Sports has released EA Sports FC 27, which introduces ‘The Grounds’, a new open-world social environment where players can use avatars to participate in street football activities, 1v1 duels, and mini-games. The title also features a reconstructed transfer market in Career Mode utilizing TransferRoom data, enhanced PlayStyles+, and updated Dynamic OVR ratings to reflect player form and fitness. Additionally, Football Ultimate Team has been updated via a new FUT Gallery. The game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. In Latin America, a special Nintendo Switch 2 bundle including a digital download code for the Standard Edition has been announced, with a release scheduled for Brazil on October 15. Critical reception has been mixed. While gameplay mechanics, HyperMotionV technology, and the refined Career Mode have received praise, some reviewers criticized the presence of bugs and described ‘The Grounds’ as ‘empty or poorly executed’. Steam data indicates a slightly lower peak of simultaneous players and a slower start compared to previous annual editions. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-27: EA Sports FC 27 launches with new social mode and Switch 2 bundle EA Sports FC 27 has launched, featuring the new social open-world mode ‘The Grounds’ and a revamped Career Mode.
