Three members of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) from the Gerindra Party—identified as ARR (Situbondo), ADR (Banyuwangi), and UAM (Malang)—were arrested during a police raid at a hotel in the Ketintang area of Surabaya, East Java. Police also detained a businessman from Banyuwangi, identified as N, along with five other individuals. During the operation, officers found eight people in a state of intoxication and seized narcotics evidence, including used methamphetamine.

Following assessments by the Surabaya National Narcotics Board (BNN), the suspects were designated for outpatient rehabilitation. Four of the individuals, including the three DPRD members and the entrepreneur, were transferred to the BNNK Banyuwangi facility for social rehabilitation. The case is being handled through a restorative justice mechanism.
