Regional efforts to promote and develop the viticulture sector are underway in Eastern Europe. Bulgaria, Romania, and Moldova have launched a joint wine promotion initiative titled ‘Treasures of the East’. This program includes a three-day exhibition in Craiova, Romania, scheduled for October 2–4, featuring business forums, market entry discussions, and the Vinul.ro Awards of Excellence, which will include Bulgarian and Moldovan entries.

In Moldova, the industry is expanding its focus through strategic conferences and cultural festivals. The 11th National Viticulture Conference is scheduled for August 25, 2026, in Chisinau. The event will address production, exports, and international market positioning, alongside phytosanitary conditions and harvest forecasts. A key focus remains investment financing via the Strategic Program of Agricultural Policy for 2026–2030, and the National Office of Vine and Wine (ONVV) will also present preparations for the anniversary edition of National Wine Day.

Further cultural engagement is planned for early September 2026. The fourth ‘Vin de Autor’ (Author Wine) Festival will be held from September 4–6 at the National Museum of History of Moldova in Chisinau, highlighting over 40 independent winemakers and small-batch producers. Concurrently, the ninth VinOpera International Classical Music Festival will take place on September 4 at Castel Mimi in Bulboaca, featuring a program dedicated to soprano Valentina Nafornița.
