# Eberechi Eze performance and role at Arsenal > Live situation record from CLSTR: https://clstr.news/situations/eberechi-eze-performance-and-role-at-arsenal > Updated: 2026-10-15T16:27:42.000Z. Sources: 5. Developments: 2. Arsenal midfielder Eberechi Eze has addressed the shifting expectations at the club following their recent Premier League title and a Champions League final appearance. After scoring in a 3-0 win over Lille, Eze noted that the team maintains a mentality of dominance and ruthlessness despite new pressures. While manager Mikel Arteta has praised Eze’s “phenomenal attitude,” the midfielder has struggled to secure a regular starting role, making eight appearances with only three starts. Eze has expressed a desire to earn more playing time as he prepares for an upcoming Champions League match against Bayern Munich. In that matchup, Eze scored during a 2-2 Champions League draw against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. Introduced early in the first half following an injury to Bukayo Saka, the 28-year-old scored 15 minutes after entering the pitch, finishing a pass from Martin Odegaard past Manuel Neuer. Despite this goal and his previous score against Lille, Eze continues to face challenges with consistent form and playing time in the Premier League. While his per-90 offensive metrics, including assists and shots on target, remain strong, he has dealt with tactical positioning issues and competition for places. Since his debut in August 2025, he has started approximately 56% of Arsenal's matches. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-15: Eberechi Eze prepares for Bayern Munich clash and new goal celebration Arsenal winger Eberechi Eze is preparing for a Champions League clash with Bayern Munich while also agreeing to perform a Ronaldo-inspired goal celebration following a gaming loss to streamer IShowSpeed. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/eberechi-eze-prepares-for-bayern-munich-clash-and-new-goal-celebration ### 2026-10-13: Arsenal midfielder Eberechi Eze discusses new challenges Arsenal midfielder Eberechi Eze says the club faces new challenges following their Premier League title win, while manager Mikel Arteta praised Eze's attitude despite a slow start to the current season. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/arsenal-midfielder-eberechi-eze-discusses-new-challenges --- Cite as: Eberechi Eze performance and role at Arsenal.
