Barcelona is scheduled to host several major professional summits focused on economic transformation and housing issues in late 2026.

In October, the city will host the seventh edition of Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW), which will address technological and social transformation through sectors such as AI, energy, and science. Concurrently, the V Congreso Nacional de la Vivienda will convene professionals and institutional representatives, including the Minister of Housing and Urban Agenda, to discuss Spanish real estate challenges like financing and affordable housing.

Following these events, the Housing World Summit (HOWS Barcelona) is set for November as part of the Smart City Expo World Congress. This international summit, promoted by the Barcelona City Council, will focus on global urban planning, housing regulation, and building innovation. The summit will include a specialized Housing Mayors Meeting for international officials to foster cooperation on housing challenges.
