The Ecuadorian National Assembly has focused on legislative expansion and decentralization. Initially, the Legislative Administration Council, under President Mishel Mancheno, qualified nine new bills covering criminal law reforms, health procurement, biodiversity protection, and education. 

Subsequently, the Assembly inaugurated the Casa Legislativa Chimborazo in Riobamba to decentralize parliamentary management and bring lawmaking closer to local populations. This new facility is intended to facilitate citizen participation and the territorial socialization of regulations, such as anti-mafia legislation. During the inauguration, President Mancheno reported that the first year of the legislative term included 143 plenary sessions and the publication of 24 laws.
