Educational and community activities in Romania and Moldova have focused on infrastructure, student support, and enrollment trends.

In Moldova, community protests occurred in Chișinău regarding the modernization of the Matei Basarab Lyceum stadium. Residents expressed concerns over potential commercialization, loss of public access, and the cutting of trees, while city officials stated the renovation is necessary for student safety. Other regional developments included investments in nursery groups in Drochia and educational activities regarding the European Union in Glodeni.

In Romania, the Ministry of Education implemented the PRIMII program to address functional illiteracy and school abandonment, specifically in Vaslău. Other initiatives included financial education programs in Râmnicu Vâlcea and business competitions in Târgu Jiu. The University of Bucharest also launched programs to support first-year students with disabilities.

Recent reports from the Moldovan Ministry of Education and Research indicate an 11 percent increase in student enrollment over the last two years, attributed to the “Learn in Moldova” program. This effort includes investments in university infrastructure and laboratories. Academic cooperation between the two nations remains active, with approximately 12,000 Moldovan students studying in Romania and over 100 joint research projects in progress.
