Authorities in Peru and Mexico are addressing various infrastructure and logistical issues affecting educational facilities. In Peru, government officials are conducting inspections of police schools, barracks, and hospitals to verify living conditions and investigate reported irregularities regarding school maintenance. In the Chiclayo region, the state school ‘Inmaculada Concepción’ is facing declining enrollment and reduced instructional hours because its reconstructed building remains unusable due to over 200 structural observations and technical failures.

In Mexico, the Secretariat of Education in Guerrero is assessing damage to schools caused by torrential rains from storm ‘Simón’, with at least 27 schools in Acapulco serving as emergency shelters. Meanwhile, in Jalisco, parents face uncertainty as students at the Fray Juan Ruiz de Cabañas y Crespo Kindergarten seek alternative locations for classes while their original building undergoes rehabilitation.
