In Taurianova, local authorities and educational leaders have focused on improving school infrastructure and community engagement.

In September, administration officials completed maintenance and repairs on primary and nursery school buildings in the Amato and San Martino districts. These efforts addressed issues such as mold, peeling plaster, and classroom wall stains, while also including the installation of a water tank to prevent future water shortages. Councilor Anna Raso noted that “the safety of our children comes before everything else.”

By October, the focus shifted toward pedagogical and civic engagement through the ‘School, Territory and Future’ summit held at the Istituto Comprensivo ‘F. Sofia Alessio – Conti – Mont – Pas’. The event emphasized the role of schools in fostering culture and legality, featuring student presentations and participation from Regional Minister for Education Eulalia Micheli.
