Television presenter Egon Rónai is departing ATV after approximately 15 to 16 years to join the Network4 Media Group. Rónai clarified that his move is not motivated by financial reasons, political motives, or a lack of editorial freedom.

He will complete his current commitments at ATV by the end of the year before beginning his new role in 2026. At Network4, Rónai is expected to focus on public affairs programming, though his responsibilities may expand to include sports broadcasting or podcasts.

Network4 Media Group CEO András Borsány-Gyenes noted that the move builds on a professional relationship spanning nearly 25 years, citing Rónai’s previous work with the group during the launch of Sport1. The media group, which includes channels such as TV4, Story4, and Arena4, intends to use this transition to strengthen its public affairs content.
