Egypt has initiated ‘Wave 30’, a multi-stage operation to remove illegal encroachments on state-owned lands, unauthorized spatial changes, and illegal construction on agricultural land. Announced by Minister of Local Development and Environment Manal Awad, the campaign involves coordination between the State Land Recovery Committee, the Egyptian Armed Forces, and the Ministry of Interior.

The initiative utilizes a dedicated information platform to record daily enforcement results and link them to land legalization and spatial monitoring systems. 

By late September, the campaign progressed to its second phase in the Assiut governorate. This phase, which began on September 26, 2026, involves intensified removal operations across various districts. The overall process is structured into three stages: the first concluded on September 18, the second runs through mid-October, and a final phase is scheduled to run from October 24 to November 13, 2026.
