The Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity has undertaken various initiatives to support the elderly population. In late September, the ministry’s rapid intervention team facilitated the reunification of a homeless retired man with his family in Qalyubia after he was found living on the street. 

Following this, in October, Minister Dr. Maya Morsy visited a residence for senior artists in 6th of October City to observe care mechanisms and facilities. The visit, held during the month dedicated to honoring the elderly, emphasized the state’s commitment to providing social protection and integrated services for senior citizens.
