Discussions within Egyptian football have transitioned from debates over player conduct and club rivalries to allegations of financial and administrative mismanagement.

Initially, former players addressed internal league tensions, including defenses of player Ahmed Foutouh and critiques of how club officials expressed opinions regarding opponent tactics.

Subsequently, the focus shifted toward financial scrutiny. Al Masry SC issued a statement refuting allegations of financial errors, asserting that their accounts are audited by the Central Auditing Organization. Meanwhile, former player Ahmed Hossam Mido alleged that Zamalek SC is facing significant financial and administrative irregularities, suggesting that certain individuals may have prioritized personal interests.
