In Polish Ekstraklasa football, Górnik Zabrze secured a victory against Jagiellonia Białystok. Initial reports noted that defender Ondrej Zmrzly contributed to the opening goal while playing a new role on the right side of the defense.

Subsequent details clarified the final score as a 3-1 away win for Górnik Zabrze, but highlighted significant officiating controversies involving referee Wojciech Myć. Disputed incidents included a goalkeeper handling a deliberate pass, the annulment of a goal by Jesus Imaz, and a failure to award a penalty to Jagiellonia following a challenge by Rafał Janicki. The referee later admitted to Canal+ Sport that certain actions should have been penalized under Law 11.
