The upcoming La Liga match between Elche CF and Celta de Vigo is characterized by significant personnel overlaps and squad availability concerns.

Several players are set to face their former clubs, including Aleix Febas and Álvaro Núñez, who recently moved from Elche to Celta. Febas, who described Elche as the ‘club of my life’, is returning to the Martínez Valero stadium after recovering from a rib injury. Other players with ties to both clubs include goalkeeper Matías Dituro and academy-trained Yago de Santiago.

Celta Vigo manager Claudio Giráldez is managing multiple injuries following the international break, with absences including Miguel Román, Carl Starfelt, Jones El-Abdellaoui, and Andrés Antañón. While defender Sebastian Cáceres is expected to be cleared to play, Giráldez expressed dissatisfaction with the current FIFA international break format regarding club preparation.
