Under manager Martín Anselmi, Elche CF has demonstrated improved competitiveness during the 2026-2027 season. Following a “meritorious draw” against Villarreal, where the team utilized tactical shifts to secure a second consecutive clean sheet, the club has seen a notable rise in away match performance.

Within the first month of the season, the team secured nine points on the road, including victories against Espanyol and Rayo Vallecano, alongside draws against Deportivo, Athletic Club, and Villarreal.
