The election was held during a General Assembly at the Kairaba Beach Hotel in The Gambia, drawing delegates from more than 34 countries. Sowe, a businessman and philanthropist who previously led the Sierra Leone chapter of the organization, won the position following a contested process. His leadership marks a shift in regional representation, as the presidency had previously been held by Guinea for 16 years and Nigeria for four years. In his platform, Sowe emphasized a five-point agenda focused on unity, economic empowerment, transparent leadership, global cooperation, and cultural preservation. He pledged to promote social and economic development and to unite Pulaaku communities across borders while upholding core cultural values such as munyal (patience), hakille (sense), semteende (reserve), and ndottore (dignity). ## Timeline ### 2026-10-05: Alhaji Amadu Juldeh Sowe elected President of Tabital Pulaaku International Businessman Alhaji Amadu Juldeh Sowe has been elected President of Tabital Pulaaku International, marking a significant leadership milestone for Sierra Leone within the global Fullah community. 5 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/alhaji-amadu-juldeh-sowe-elected-president-of-tabital-pulaaku-international-1 ### 2026-09-27: Alhaji Amadu Juldeh Sowe elected President of Tabital Pulaaku International Alhaji Amadu Juldeh Sowe has been elected President of Tabital Pulaaku International, the global socio-cultural body for the Fulbe people, following an assembly in The Gambia. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/alhaji-amadu-juldeh-sowe-elected-president-of-tabital-pulaaku-international --- Cite as: Election of Tabital Pulaaku International President.
