In mid-September 2026, Sparkd-EV, the authorized distributor for ZEEKR, opened a 200-square-meter showroom in District 5. The expansion, representing a 50 million Egyptian pound investment, aims to target the luxury EV market with models such as the 001, 7X, and X.

Shortly thereafter, Ezz Elarab Star, the exclusive agent for the smart brand, also opened a showroom in District 5. This move is intended to meet growing demand for sustainable mobility in East Cairo. The smart brand currently offers the #1 and #3 models in Egypt, with plans to introduce the #5, #2, and #6 models to the local market.
