The project is driven by the discovery of approximately 600 original source tapes during a digitization of EA video archives. The remaster intends to restore and upscale the game’s iconic full-motion video (FMV) sequences, which originally featured actors such as Mark Hamill, John Rhys-Davies, and Malcolm McDowell. Technical updates are expected to include 60 FPS gameplay, controller support, and community enhancement patches.
