Various municipalities in Germany have initiated construction on new emergency service facilities.

In Meppen, work has commenced on a 22-million-euro fire station at Schützenhof to replace a 1970s-era facility. The nearly 15,000-square-meter complex is designed to house 16 fire engines and includes specialized workshops, a training tower, and sustainable features such as a heat pump and photovoltaic systems. Mayor Helmut Knurbein noted the project aims to provide “optimal working, training, and operational conditions” for volunteer responders.

In Brieselang, a new emergency station is being developed through a public-private partnership involving developer RegWert and planner Vollack. Expected to be completed by May 2027, the facility will feature a vehicle hall and a social wing. The site will provide 24/7 ambulance coverage, serve as a coordination point for medical transport, and function as a training station for paramedics.
