Argentine singer Emilia Mernes released her new single, “Bodypainting,” on October 29, 2026, to coincide with her 30th birthday. Mernes described the track as the start of a more mature musical era following the intensity of her previous album, “.mp3."

The song explores themes of sensuality, desire, and self-expression through a shift in vocal register. Production credits include LIOHN, a collaborator of Max Martin, and Zecca, who has worked with artists such as Drake and Karol G.

Following the release, Mernes debuted a cinematic music video, co-directed by Martin Seipel and Melanie Anton. The visual, set in a luxury penthouse, features the artist using her body as a canvas, including scenes of dance and bold aesthetics where she is covered in black paint to reflect themes of transformation.
