Following a 2-3 defeat to Spain in the UEFA Nations League, England manager Thomas Tuchel defended Jude Bellingham’s aggressive playing style, noting the midfielder performs better with ‘a little bit of anger.’ Tuchel expressed a need to monitor Bellingham’s physical condition due to his heavy workload with Real Madrid.

After a subsequent 2-0 victory over the Czech Republic, Tuchel began exploring new tactical roles for Bellingham. The manager is considering utilizing the midfielder in more advanced positions, such as a ‘number nine’ or a central attacking midfielder in a 4-2-3-1 formation, to better support captain Harry Kane and capitalize on Bellingham’s ability as a ‘natural goalscorer’.
