Norwegian progressive black metal band Enslaved announced the release of their seventeenth full-length studio album, titled Mið, scheduled for October 30, 2026, via Nuclear Blast Records.

The 44-minute record is described as an evolution of the band’s sound, moving toward more organic, earthy, and ritualistic compositions. While retaining signature elements such as jazzy chords, atmospheric depth, and the interplay between clean and harsh vocals, the songwriting focuses on more direct riffs and grounded structures compared to previous works like Heimdal.

Thematically, the album departs from traditional Norwegian mythology to explore various pagan and spiritual traditions. The title Mið translates to ‘center,’ representing a convergence of spiritual points. The release includes guest appearances, notably featuring Kevin Kicking Woman, an elder of the Blackfeet Nation, on the track ‘Spirit Helper.’
